Sunsail Club Phokaia is located on a magnificent coastline of pristine beaches and clear waters that make the northern Aegean shores of Turkey amongst the most stunning in the country. With fantastic newly built kids facilities, the whole family will have fun here, with plenty on offer to suit everyone.
Situated near the historic town of Foca, the Club enjoys a stunning setting in a landscape quite different, but equally beautiful, to southern Turkey. Surrounded by a sparkling bay, this is the perfect place to enjoy a variety of watersports in waters made famous by the legendary Siren Rocks of Homer's Odyssey.
Club Phokaia is situated on Mersinaki Bay, fringed by a secluded beach. Spacious and tranquil, this Club enjoys a mild Aegean climate and a sailing and watersports area ideal for beginners through to advanced, with a beautiful coastline waiting to be discovered.
Take a day yacht from the Club and you can discover a string of secluded coves and anchorages, perfect for taking a swim and snorkelling.
Remember, if you are not experienced enough to sail a day yacht alone, Sunsail Skippers are available to hire to guide you around the cruising area.
On shore, the fantastic 50 metre swimming pool is one of the focal points of the Club. With a sun bathing area and separate pool bar, you need nothing more for a laid back afternoon in the sun. The main building and accommodation frames the Club, and a short walk through the garden area takes you straight to the beach where your sailing adventure awaits.
The Club offers beautiful views and tranquil places to relax when you are not on the water. There are plenty of places to sit and read a book or just enjoy the sunshine.
The terrace restaurant is located by the main building. Dine here and enjoy fabulous panoramic views over the pool, beach and beyond while you recount the day's activities with new friends. Located just off the jetty is The Sirens Bar is in the heart of the Club where you can enjoy a drink or two after a satisfying day's sailing and watch the sunset behind the famous Siren Islands.
The tennis courts are located in the garden area of the Club and provide the perfect place to practice your serve or gain a few tips from our professional coach who are available for lessons most days.
Take off on two wheels for a tour of the local area with friends or on one of our resident instructor's daily trails. It's a fantastic way to see the area.
The Club has a fitness room complete with weights machines and cardio equipment. The Club's fitness instructor also runs a programme of fitness classes and is available for personal training sessions and advice on any aspect of your fitness you would like to talk about. Outside the Club, Foca (focha) is just a 15 minute walk away and a beautiful traditional fishing village. Its name originates from the word "fok" meaning "seal" in Turkish, a creature which is the symbol of the town. True to its name, there is a local colony of endangered monk seals that inhabits the rocks nearby. Stroll the cobbled streets and discover the great fish restaurants along the water's edge.
