The perfect gift for someone special in your life or just indulge yourself with one of our RYA Sailing, Windsurfing, Powerboat and Jet Ski Perfect Day Courses or experience days. From only £50 per day or £140 for the RYA Sailing Level 1 Course.

The centre is open all year and we run regular courses and experience days in Sailing, Powerboating and Kayaking. With over 20 years experience on the water we guarantee a special day.

This exciting day will be spent on the estuary at Leigh on Sea, Essex. We can explore the hidden backwaters of this area and enjoy the beautiful scenery with the unique views that you can only get whilst afloat. The cobbled streets of Old Leigh offer a range of great restaurants and pubs for celebrating a great day when we come off the water.

Itinerary & Highlights

After a safety briefing we will head out onto the water for an exciting day. Sometimes we have a packed lunch on the water or come in for something tasty at one of the local restaurants or cafes. Instruction is based upon your particular level and experience with the emphasis on safety and building your confidence on the water. Bring a change of clothes, towel and footwear you don't mind getting wet. After a great day we often usually spend some time talking about your next steps in the chosen activity. Many clients head off to one of the many local bars for a well earned drink and to enjoy the sunset over the estuary. The RYA Sailing and Powerboat Courses last 2 memorable and exciting days.

What can I say? This was two incredibly memorable days.

I only recently became interested in sailing and read that the best way to learn would be to start with dinghy sailing, so I was looking to get my RYA skills to then join a club. Previous to this I had only one sailing experience years ago in a Mirror in centre parks. I had however spent time reading a sailing manual, so the theory was loosely there!

I rang a few different places and decided to go with Mike as he was so helpful even though I had called him at about 8pm on a weekday!

Mike's style of teaching allows you to learn quickly and become confident at the same time. I will remember so much of what he taught me due to this. At the same time, he kept it fun and made you feel safe out on the water. The theory side was well focused on too.

This has set me in good stead for the future and the next step is to maximise sailing time in the winter by joining a club.
