Velvet Lady has room for 6 guests, and if you would like to book the whole boat for your group we will only charge you for 5, 1 person goes free.

Voyage Highlights

Itinerary & Highlights

This is a sample itinerary only – each week we tailor our itinerary to the weather. We expect to sail 120nm this week.

Day 1 – Arrive on board 1800. Welcome reception, introductions and itinerary discussion. Dinner served on board at 2000

Day 2 – Breakfast followed by safety briefing. Day sail in the Estrecho de la Bochina. Anchor under the dramatic cliffs of Playa Papagayo and watch the sun go down

Day 3 - Sail to the capital Arrecife – anchor in the bay. Celebrate the New Year and enjoy the fireworks at midnight.

Day 4 – Sail northwards to Pedro Barba on La Graciosa, anchor and visit this tiny village.

Day 5 – Sail further north to the uninhabited island of Alegranza, and anchor for lunch. Before returning to the scenic Playa de Francesca on La Graciosa. BBQ at sunset

Day 6 – Spend the day exploring ashore on La Graciosa, walk to the village, climb the volcano or relax on the beach.

Day 7 – Enjoy a long day sailing as we return from La Graciosa down the western side of Lanzarote to Marina Rubicon.

Day 8 - Breakfast, Depart.

Accommodation & Centre Details

Accommodation is aboard our 55ft Oyster Yacht "Velvet Lady"

Our full time skipper Lin and Mate Richard are there to look after you, but on these ocean passages we encourage you to take part in all aspects of sailing the yacht, from steering and trimming the sails to navigating and cooking - all aspects of ocean watchkeeping. Lin is a qualified yachtmaster ocean instructor so we are happy to take all from those who just want have the experience to those who wish to learn to go it alone someday.

We take a maximum of 4 guests in 2 twin cabins. Each cabin with access to own shower/toilet. There is a spacious saloon, and well equipped galley and navigation areas.

The yacht has a full complement of ocean saftey equipment and is certificated by the MCA to Category zero.
