Greek Flotilla Holidays in Paxos
A two-week Paxos flotilla holiday makes the most of the incredible Ionian sailing area, exploring as far north as the islands of Corfu and Paxos, and is ideally suited to confident sailors with a good amount of previous sailing experience.
A fortnight allows plenty of time for dinners in traditional restaurants, for peaceful nights under anchor and for livelier ones at some of Corfu’s famous all-night clubs.
Some of the highlights to be enjoyed on a Paxos flotilla holiday are the salt lagoon at Levkas, a visit to old Corfu town, the Venetian castle on Parga, Byzantine churches and the Museum of Asian Arts on Mandraki.
Paxos flotilla sailing is suitable for sailors with significant previous sailing experience.
The cruising ground covers more than one hundred miles of the Ionian Sea as far as Corfu and combines relaxed line-of-sight sailing with exhilarating, longer passages giving crews an opportunity to gain extensive, valuable cruising experience.
From April to November, the predominantly north-westerly winds, vary between 5 to 20 knots (6 - 23 mph), with gentle morning breezes from the south. Temperatures range from 23 – 33 C ( 73 - 91 F).
