The two-week Orhaniye flotilla holiday takes in the Greek island of Simi as well as the Gulf of Hisaronu and some of the most beautiful coastline in Turkey.

The route has plenty to interest those fascinated by the region’s ancient history as well as designer shops and chic restaurants to appeal to those whose preferences tend to the more modern.

Orhaniye flotilla sailing is suitable for confident sailors with a reasonable amount of previous sailing experience but with easy navigation, protected waters and good anchoring conditions, it is certainly not too difficult for most.

Summer temperatures average a pleasant 30 C (86 F). Relaxed mornings give way to breezy afternoons with the promise of some exhilarating sailing especially in the afternoon when steady north-west Winds of 10 – 20 knots (11 - 23mph) will really blow the combwebs away. Set off at your own pace to this protected bay, the perfect place for your first refreshing dip.

Day 3
Simi Town, Greece & 15 miles, 2-3 hours
You'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to dinner in this bustling, yet quaint resort.

Day 4
Panormitis, Greece & 12 miles, 2 hours
This tranquil setting is a place of pilgrimage for the Greek sailors who come here to visit the icon of St Michael; the guardian of the seafarers.

Day 5
Bozurun, Turkey & 17 miles, 2-3 hours
This authentic town has a variety of attractions to choose from.

Ciftlik & 13 miles, 2-3 hours
Enjoy a revitalising swim in the clear warm waters before enjoying a delicious meal of local specialities at one of the many traditional restaurants.

Kumlubuku & 7 miles, 1-2 hours
To the north of the bay lie the ruins of Ancient Amos, where you can enjoy exploring the remains of the magnificent amphitheatre.

The friendly locals will welcome you onto their island and into one of the many local restaurants.

Paradise Bay & 14 miles, 2-3 hours
A stunning bay where you can join an expedition to a nearby natural cave or just sit back and relax.

Return to flotilla base, Orhaniye & 10 miles, 1-2 hours
Take part in a fun regatta back to Orhaniye, before enjoying your farewell party.
