The ancient site of Loryma offers many walks amongst the hills, with spectacular views across the bay. Loryma has a rich history, there are numerous ruins amongst the hills with many artefacts left in situe. Amongst the ruins, plinths of statues can be seen alongside the stones of a cathedral which dates from the period when the Turks were attacking the Rhodeans on a regular basis. At it's peak 70,000 People occupied the bay servicing the 400 hundred Military rowing vessels that were used as war ships.
