Skipper Course in Croatia

Learn to independetly take and control the sailboat, and manage it and the crew!

Goal: training the students to independently take the sailboat, control the boat, manage the boat and crew - regardless of their experience.

Age: adult

Previous knowledge: having completed one of our advanced courses

Candidates taking the skipper course take on a role of an instructor on a sailboat instructing the participants of the basic course and are (together with their instructor) responsible for the realization of their program. The skipper candidate sails out of the marina and back with engine, and during the course, if the weather allows it, practices mooring with sails (with one of his/her instructors, after the sailboat returns and participants of the basic course disembark). Special attention is devoted to the safety of the ship and crew, and getting to know and learn about the safety equipment.

Maritime zone: the local waters of the island of Murter

Equipment: sportswear, rain suit, boots, gloves, cap, knife, flashlight
