Teenage Sailing Courses

Sunsail’s Teenage Sailing Weeks are as popular with parents as they are with the teenagers themselves! Scheduled to coincide with school holidays and half-terms, Sunsail’s Teenage Sailing Weeks are a great mix of sailing instruction and other, fun activities designed to keep teenagers busy and entertained.

Teenage Sailing Weeks are all-inclusive of food and soft drinks and are suitable for teenagers aged between 13 and 17. Non-sailing activities include canoeing, on shore games and beach BBQs. Over the course of the week, students can work towards their RYA Competent Crew qualification or Duke of Edinburgh award.

Accommodation is on board for the duration of the course and is mixed, with boys and girls in separate cabins and of course the instructor also sleeps on board. Sunsail endeavour to allocate boats by age range, where possible.

All Sunsail’s instructors are RYA qualified, CRB checked and are well used to dealing with teenagers.

The Sunsail Teenage Sailing courses are designed specifically for 13-17 year olds and are packed full of fun activities such as canoeing, on-shore games and beach BBQs.

The Teenage Sailing course is a great way to get teenagers out of the house during the summer months and time aboard can be counted towards Competent Crew qualifications or the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme . This all-inclusive course includes food and soft drinks while on board.

All of our instructors are RYA qualified and are CRB checked, and experts in keeping inquisitive young minds active whilst learning. Accommodation on board is mixed with boys and girls in separate cabins. We endeavour to allocate boats by age range where possible.
